Established in 2018, The Harley Street Hospital has become one of the UK's leading private day-surgery centres — in the heart of London's most prestigious medical district.
The Harley Street Hospital was established in 2018 as a private hospital on Harley Street, dedicated to delivering personalised, innovative and high-quality care.
From the outset, our focus has been on consultant-led day surgery — specialising in spinal surgery, orthopaedics, pain management and urology, alongside women's health, andrology and comprehensive health screening. The London Spine Unit, based at the hospital, has grown into a centre of excellence for spinal treatments, attracting patients from across the UK and around the world. Specialist day-surgery techniques allow rapid recovery and same-day discharge.
Rated Good by the CQC
The Harley Street Hospital is registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and social care in England. Following its first comprehensive inspection (3 April 2019), the hospital was rated Good across every domain.
CQC inspectors found that the service:
- Assessed need and delivered care in line with current legislation and evidence-based guidance.
- Organised and delivered its services to meet patients' needs.
- Treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion.
- Used patient feedback to improve the services provided.
- Had the capacity and skills to deliver high-quality care.
The hospital is registered for diagnostic and screening procedures, treatment of disease, disorder and injury, and surgical procedures.
