Mr Aylott became Consultant Spine Surgeon with Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2010, leading its spinal service redevelopment. Uniquely trained both in Mechanical and Materials Engineering (Nottingham, 1993) and Medicine (Leicester, 1998), he completed his FRCS in Trauma & Orthopaedics in Bristol (2008) and fellowships in Nottingham, Auckland and Bristol. His 2007 Nottingham doctorate evaluated motion-preserving spinal technologies. In practice across Cheltenham and London, Mr Aylott treats neck and back pain from disc herniations and stenosis to complex deformities and fractures. He emphasises precise diagnosis, clear patient communication, and exhausts non-surgical options before surgery. As a European faculty trainer in balloon kyphoplasty and dynamic stabilisation, he lectures internationally on minimally invasive techniques and spinal biomechanics.
