Dr Paul Banwell is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive & Cosmetic Surgeon based in the South East of England. He is the Clinical Governance Lead at The Harley Street Hospital for Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery and on the Medical Advisory Board.
Paul has developed an international reputation in the fields of cosmetic surgery, skin health and skin cancer and lectures worldwide on these subjects. He has published extensively including several books (a recent Amazon best seller in Female Aesthetic Genital Surgery has been widely acclaimed), run a research unit and is a Visiting Professor of Plastic Surgery to Harvard Medical School. He has been listed in the Times Magazine as one of the UK’s Top 100 Doctors and his work recognised by Tatler Magazine. He was also recently a Finalist in the Safety in Beauty Awards for Best Cosmetic Surgeon in the UK.
Dr Banwell performs all forms of cosmetic surgery to the breast, body and face but he is also well known for cutting edge cosmetic breast surgery including minimal scar techniques for breast augmentation, hybrid techniques using fat transfer, mummy makeovers, labiaplasty and liposuction. He has a particular interest in regenerative medicine techniques and the role of nanofat, PRP and energy devices for rejuvenation.
Paul has also pioneered some of the latest concepts in skin health, chemical peels and non-surgical aesthetics and is an expert in cosmeceuticals. He is also the Founder and former Head of The Melanoma and Skin Cancer Unit (MASCU) in East Grinstead, one of the largest skin cancer units in the UK. Paul regularly writes for the trade journals, is on the Editorial Board for Aesthetic Medicine and Judges for all the National UK Cosmetic Medicine Awards & Professional Beauty Awards. As a KOL for several companies in the cosmetic sector he is passionate about safety and maintaining good practice. He is also a favourite with Beauty Editors and journalists and is regularly quoted in the National Press.
In his leisure time, Paul enjoys surfing, skiing and martial arts and is also passionate about collecting modern art.
